Thankful for Music that Moves and Soothes

It’s week 3 and we’re still celebrating November—a month of gratitude and thanksgiving! This week, iGrow Girl and Contagious Health are thankful for the many different kinds of music that move and soothe us.

Along with joy and festivities, the holiday season can bring anxiety, stress, and other negative effects on our mental and emotional health. Music therapy is one way to boost mental wellness.

No matter what kind of music we enjoy, it can be healthful to immerse ourselves in the surround sound of uplifting, calming or energizing music. We are thankful that there are tons of genres and tunes to choose from—which makes it easy to find what we need when we need it.

Turn up the health promoting music while you do other stress busting activities like yoga, painting, reading, etc. Sing, hum and move with gratitude and thanksgiving, and share with family and friends.
